Common billing questions

Common questions about billing, payments, and subscriptions.


Payments

What payment methods do you accept?

  • Credit/Debit Cards (Visa, Mastercard, RuPay)
  • UPI (Google Pay, PhonePe, Paytm, etc.)
  • Net Banking (all major Indian banks)
  • Wallets (Paytm, PhonePe, Amazon Pay)

Is my payment information secure?

Yes. We use Razorpay for payment processing, which is PCI DSS Level 1 certified. We never store your card details on our servers.

Why was my payment declined?

Common reasons:

  • Insufficient funds
  • Card not enabled for online/international transactions
  • Bank's fraud protection triggered

Try using a different payment method or contact your bank.

Can I pay with international cards?

Yes, we accept international Visa and Mastercard.

Do you accept cryptocurrency?

Not currently.

How much does CodePlanet cost?

Are prices in INR only?

Currently yes. International pricing is planned for a future release.

Is there a free trial?

The free tier is permanently free with limited features. You can upgrade anytime.

Do you offer discounts?

  • Students: 50% off with .edu email
  • Annual: 2 months free (planned)
  • Referrals: ₹100 credit per referral

Subscriptions

How do I upgrade my plan?

  1. Go to Settings → Subscription
  2. Click "Change Plan"
  3. Select new plan and pay

The upgrade takes effect immediately.

How do I downgrade my plan?

  1. Go to Settings → Subscription
  2. Click "Change Plan"
  3. Select lower tier

Downgrade takes effect at your next billing date.

Can I change plans mid-cycle?

Yes. Upgrades are immediate with prorated billing. Downgrades take effect at the next billing cycle.

How do I cancel my subscription?

  1. Go to Settings → Subscription
  2. Click "Cancel Subscription"
  3. Confirm

You'll keep access until your current period ends.

What happens when I cancel?

  • Features remain until period ends
  • No future charges
  • Data kept for 1 year
  • Can reactivate anytime

Can I pause my subscription?

Not currently. You can cancel and reactivate later.


Billing

When am I billed?

  • Monthly: Same date each month
  • Annual: Same date each year (planned)

How do I view my billing history?

Go to Settings → Billing → Invoices

How do I download invoices?

  1. Go to Settings → Billing
  2. Click "View Invoices"
  3. Click "Download PDF" for any invoice

How do I update my payment method?

  1. Go to Settings → Billing
  2. Click "Update Payment Method"
  3. Enter new details

Why am I seeing a charge I don't recognize?

Check your billing history at Settings → Billing. Charges appear as "CODEPLANET*" on your statement. If you don't recognize a charge, contact support.

What's your billing timezone?

All billing times are in IST (Indian Standard Time).


Refunds

What's your refund policy?

  • Within 7 days: Full refund, no questions asked
  • After 7 days: Prorated refund minus transaction fees
  • Abuse cases: No refund

How do I request a refund?

Email support@acodeplanet.tech with:

  • Your account email
  • Order ID (from receipt)
  • Reason for refund

How long do refunds take?

  • Credit/Debit: 5-7 business days
  • UPI: 2-3 business days
  • Net Banking: 5-7 business days

Why was my refund denied?

Refunds may be denied for:

  • Requests after 30 days
  • Terms of Service violations
  • Abuse of refund policy

Failed Payments

What happens if my payment fails?

  1. You'll receive an email notification
  2. We retry payment after 3 days
  3. If it fails again, we retry after 7 days
  4. After 10 days of failure, subscription is cancelled

How do I fix a failed payment?

  1. Go to Settings → Billing
  2. Update your payment method
  3. Click "Retry Payment"

Will I lose access immediately?

No. You have a 10-day grace period to fix payment issues.


Taxes

Are taxes included in the price?

Prices shown include GST where applicable.

Do you provide GST invoices?

Yes. Add your GSTIN in Settings → Billing → Tax Info to receive GST invoices.

Can I get tax-exempt pricing?

Contact support with valid exemption documentation.


Teams & Enterprise

Do you offer team plans?

Planned for a future release. Join the waitlist at acodeplanet.tech/teams.

Is there volume pricing?

Contact sales@acodeplanet.tech for teams of 10+.

Do you offer invoicing for companies?

Yes, for annual plans and teams. Contact sales@acodeplanet.tech.


Promotions

How do I apply a promo code?

  1. Go to Pricing page
  2. Select a plan
  3. Enter code in "Promo Code" field
  4. Click "Apply"

Why isn't my promo code working?

  • Check for typos
  • Some codes are single-use
  • Codes may be expired
  • Some codes don't combine with other offers

Can I use multiple promo codes?

No, only one promo code per transaction.
